The works of the Blessed John Paul II

Throughout the month of April, the Library celebrates the life and work of the Blessed John Paul II with visual displays and artifacts of his trips here at Orchard Lake.  Students, faculty and the surrounding community are encouraged to walk among the Blesseds artifacts and share their favorite memories of his unique papacy.

During this time, the Library has found some surplus copies of John Paul II works to share at a modest price.  Most books are hardcover; prices range from $4 – 15.  Selections vary daily.  All proceeds benefit the library.

Fill Orchard Lake to capacity; sustain Orchard Lake; we need Orchard Lake –

The words of Blessed John Paul II ring loud in my head.  As we prepare display case after display case of his works, I cannot use all of the library’s books of the Pope’s travels, writings and poetry.   We’ve dug deep and found a few personal photos of Cardinal Wojtyla with our own Monsignor Milewski and Monsignor Ziemba.   Of course, the storyboards of His Holiness’s life, a gift from the Archdiocese of Detroit and the kayak that Karol Wojtyla enjoyed here at Orchard Lake are even more special to us now.

Please take a moment to reflect upon our many blessings here at Orchard Lake and all that is yet to come.
